Las Candelillas - recreational, tourist complex
The recreational complex occupies about 3 hectars and consists of a large palm- roofed pavilion/rancho and a kitchen area with buffet service specializing in barbeques, Louisiana cuisine and Costa Rican style food.
There are two swimming pools - one for adults and one for children-- and areas for sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball and tennis.
The rancho includes a bar which also services the adjacent adult swimming pool.
These facilities are all surrounded by lush tropical gardens which attract a variety of bird life and provide abundant shady areas for lounging about.
The remainder of the 63 hectar "farm" incorporates the greenhouse for ornamental plant production, cattle production, reforestation projects, fruit orchards and sugar cane.
